This month we would like to introduce you to Katrina Dembeck, ARNP! You can see Katrina in our Jacksonville Beach office and here, you can learn a little more about her.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I’m a Jacksonville native, but I did live in Hawaii for a year.
Q: What’s your favorite activity after work?
A: Spending time with my family, my husband Jason and my 3 dogs, Marley, Ziggy, and Peaches.
Q: What do you like best about your job?
A: I love working with kids everyday and the best is when they give you a big hug.
Q: How would you describe your job at Pediatric Care Center?
A: Fun and interesting, never a dull moment.
Q: What is something you look forward to in the future?
A: Having children!
Q: What’s the #1 question you get asked in the office?
A: Oh, there are 2 Katrinas??
Q: Do you have any tips about what parents can do?
A: Have a thermometer and take your child’s temperature when they are sick, so many don’t take a temperature and say they felt hot. Also, bring your list of questions, because of course we all forget our questions as soon as the provider walks in the room.
Q: What made you go into the Pediatric field?
A: It definitely wasn’t in my plans, but I have to say Katrina Cinca inspired me! I fell in love with pediatrics during my pediatric clinical rotation with Katrina and I just kept coming back for more.
Q: If patients could describe you, what 3 words would they use?
A: Kind, gentle, caring
Q: Tell us one funny story from the office.
A: So many, hard to pick. But the kids make me laugh everyday.
